Double Duty For Braun At The Milwaukee Mile

Double Duty for Braun at the Milwaukee Mile

Colin Braun will be a busy man this weekend at The Milwaukee Mile.  For the first time in his young NASCAR career, Braun will pull a double-header, driving both the No. 6 Con-way Freight Ford F-150 in Friday's NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race and the No. 16 CitiFinancial Ford Fusion in Saturday's Nationwide Series event.

"If I could race every day I would," said Braun.  "I'm excited for back-to-back races this weekend at Milwaukee.  I've never raced there before, but I was able to get some laps in a Sprint Cup car last week at a test.  It's definitely a unique track.  It reminds me of a stretched-out Martinsville. It has such long straightaways and fairly tight corners that you really have to slow down for. Martinsville has a little more banking so you can carry a little more speed where Milwaukee is maybe a little longer but it seems real flat. I got to do a tire run there in the Sprint Cup car, so it's really nice to get an idea of what that race track does and what the tires do and all."

This will be Braun's third Nationwide Series start of the season, the first since he sat on the pole earlier in the year in Mexico City.  Braun's other outing in the CitiFinancial Ford Fusion came in March at Nashville Superspeedway where the 19-year-old qualified ninth and finished 15th

"I'm excited to have Colin back in the car this weekend," said his Nationwide Series crew chief Eddie Pardue.  "This will be his third race with the No. 16 team this year and he did really well in the first two.  He's a very talented driver and we're all looking forward to seeing what he can do once he gets more seat time in these cars."

Braun will return to the No. 16 CitiFinancial Ford Fusion later this summer at Daytona and ORP.
