  Colin Braun Helps Con-way Freight Celebrate its 25^th Anniversary

The No. 6 Con-way Freight Ford F-150 will carry a special decal this weekend at Michigan International Speedway to help celebrate Con-way's 25^th anniversary.  The Ann Arbor, Mich.-based company will have over 400 guests in attendance at Saturday's Cool City Customs 200 cheering for their rookie driver, Colin Braun.

The Con-way organization began in 1983 with 22 service centers.  On its first day of business, which began with 230 employees and 334 trucks, tractors and trailers, they handled 113 shipments. Their business model: provide next-day service for regional freight delivery within 500 miles.  Today Con-way Freight, a Con-way Inc. (NYSE:CNW) company and recognized leader in less-than-truckload (LTL) trucking, has grown to more than 400 service locations, a fleet of 32,000 trucks, tractors and trailers and more than 20,000 employees who deliver industry-leading coverage and transit times throughout North America. Throughout the network, the company moves more than 60,000 LTL shipments totaling more than 72 million pounds of freight and completes 120,000 pickups and deliveries daily.  Con-way Freight celebrates its silver anniversary this week with enterprise-wide activities and special commemorative ceremonies at many of its original 22 operating locations.

"It's cool for our whole team to be part of Con-way's anniversary celebration," Braun said.  "They've got a special decal on the tonneau cover of our truck at MIS this weekend.  If we could pull off a win, not only would it be a huge celebration for our team since it would be my first win, but it would be pretty exciting for the 400 people they will have in the grandstands.  Not to mention the thousands of employees who support me and the team each week even if they can't attend the races."
